An individual police stopped for an equipment violation during a traffic stop in Greenville now faces multiple drug charges.
Officers say O'Brian Smith was pulled over at the intersection of Tenth street and Verdant drive. Police say they found a plastic bag with cocaine inside his car. They used a drug sniffing dog and found marijuana and a .38 caliber handgun.
Smith faces multiple drug and firearm related charges. Smith is being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $105,000 bond.
