New Seafood Labels

Video will be available shortly.

You look in a seafood display case and see the fish, but now you'll also see new federally mandated labels. The labels were passed into law in October, but store officials say they became mandatory on April 1, specifying exactly where the seafood came from.

If a store fails to do it, they'll have to pay a huge fine of $10,000 per unlabeled item.

Some say these new labels could mean big business for the local fishing industry by letting the public know exactly where the seafood they're buying is coming from.
