Final Arrest Made In Deadly Home Invasion

The third suspect is a deadly home invasion last summer is now behind bars.

Friday Wayne County deputies named Leonard Middleton as a suspect the the August 31st attack and robbery. Today the 24 year old from Mount Olive is in jail on a $50,000 bond.

Deputies say four men broke into a home on Mount Olive Highway back in August. The homeowner shot and killed one of the suspects, while two others were caught shortly after the attack.

Middleon's charges include first degree burglary and two counts of first degree kidnapping.

    Why did all of the previous reports say that 3 armed men broke into the home? (2 were immediately afterwards arrested and the third was shot and killed on the scene) Now, all of a sudden 5 months later, it was 4 men? Sounds odd to me!
