Jet Service Resumes in Kinston

After an absence of about four years daily non-stop commercial flight service out of the Kinston Regional Jetport is available once again.

At about 6:42 a.m. Friday, the very first Delta Connection Carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines flight out of Kinston raced down the runway on its way to Atlanta.

The first flight carried dozens of passengers, some of whom typically drive all the way to the Raleigh-Durham airport for their travel needs. Lenoir County leaders say this will help stimulate more growth in the entire eastern North Carolina region.
