Ready to see an 11.5 increase in auto insurance rates? That's what the North Carolina Rate Bureau is asking for, for private passenger auto rates.
The bureau, an independent organization that represents all auto insurance companies doing business in our state, filed its proposed rate change with the State Insurance Department Thursday. The department then evaluates the change and negotiates the increase, or even a decrease.
