Former Officer in Court

A former Grifton police sergeant appeared in Pitt County court Wednesday on a charge of violating a domestic violence protective order. Maury Wills Carmon was arrested back in February after his wife reported she saw him near their Ayden home. Wednesday a judge ordered Carmon to leave Pitt County by this Sunday until his next court appearance on March 30 of next year. Carmon has been ordered to live with family in Richmond, Virginia.
