New Jobs Coming to Lenoir County

Close to 100 new jobs will soon be available in Lenoir County, all thanks to two companies that are in the process of expanding. Alsco's Servitex Division is a commercial laundry service in Kinston. They're investing more than $1 million to buy brand new laundry equipment add 55 jobs and hire 35 new employees during the Summer. The other company offering new jobs is Monrovia Nursery of North Carolina in LaGrange. They plan on hiring up to 40 employees and are seeking to purchase more land for their nursery business. Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bruce Parson welcomes the news. Lenoir Community College is hosting a job fair Wednesday. More than 100 company representatives will be on hand to talk to prospective employees. The job fair runs between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
