New Bern police say one of their most wanted since early 2006 has been nabbed in Florida.
Dewayne Farnell was arrested last week in Duval County, Florida on criminal mischief charges. He was brought back to New Bern Thursday to face local charges.
Those include forgery, and probation and parole violations. Police say Farnell stole a checkbook, then wrote and cashed more than $2,000 worth of checks.
He's now in the Craven County jail under a $15,000 bond.
