Greenville Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Greene County

A Greenville man died after a motorcycle crash in Greene County this weekend.

The Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Dontino Lamont Forbes was traveling down Glenfield Road south of Snow Hill Saturday about 10:15 p.m. when his motorcycle ran off the right side of the road, hit a driveway culvert and then flipped, landing in another driveway culvert.

Forbes was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers say it is unknown what caused the motorcyle to go off the road. Troopers say the bike's estimated speed was at 70 miles per hour, while the speed limit on that road is 45 miles per hour.
