St. Pat's Parade On Outer Banks

Thousands of kids and their parents clamored together along Highway 12 in Nags Head Sunday afternoon, for a shot at some free candy and Irish fun.

Friends and neighbors on the Outer Banks donned their best green garnish for the Annual Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Billing itself as the largest Saint Patty's Day procession in the state, the parade has come along way over the past two decades, from just a few floats to now thousands of participants. Plastic beads and candy chews rained down along the beach, as fire trucks wailed and children scrambled under sunny skies Sunday.
