Three Lenoir County Sheriff's deputies are accused of failing to uphold the law on underage drinking. They were charged by the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency for allowing teenagers to drink in their presence at a party in October. The deputies, who resigned from the department, are Shawn Jackson, Ryan Lee Dawson and Allen Pearson, Junior. The A.L.E. also charged four others in this incident. Issac Ashton Rhodes, Brandon Edward Guy, and Lemuel Gray Wiley were charged for underage drinking. Store clerk Ila Sue Daniels was charged for selling alcohol to Wiley. The former deputies now await further criminal charges.
