A string of robberies in Craven County overnight sends lawmen on the hunt for a New Bern man.
A warrant has been issued for 23 year old David Lee Singleton of 1022 Pavie Avenue. Singleton is believed to be responsible for 3 overnight robberies where in all three crimes the victims were assaulted with his weapon between 9 and 11 p.m. Saturday night. Singleton is also the suspect in a nearby breaking and entering that occurred sometime in between the overnight violence, at a home on Bloomfeild Street. Lawmen say Singleton has a history of violent crimes including assault on an officer and cruelty to animals. If you know of his whereabouts you are asked to contact New Bern Police immediately.
