It's a decision that means life or death for someone in our nation every 2 seconds. In Beaufort County Saturday donators chose life as they took time to give blood to the American Red Cross. Here at the Haw Branch Church of Christ in Chocowinity dozens of people rallied for the cause pitching in their pints to help out their fellow man. Currently the American Red Cross is at a restricted level for types O positive, A negative and B negative. That means more donations are needed quickly to prevent a blood emergency.

The Beaufort County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host another drive next week. The drive will be held in Washington at John Small School from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
