Lawmen call it the largest identity theft and fraud investigation in Edgecombe County's history, with potential losses of more than $100,000.
Officials say Troy Vaughn Davis took mail out of mailboxes in Rocky Mount and Edgecombe County, and used Social Security numbers and birth dates to get credit cards and make purchases.
Officials report their investigation started in November, and they were able to prevent about $80,000 worth of the fraud.
Victims aren't just from here, but as far away as Charlotte and Nebraska.
Davis faces more than 100 charges and is being held in the Edgecombe County detention center.
