Man Still Missing After Possibly Falling Overboard

Crews dragged the bottom of the Chowan River near Colerain in Bertie County Monday for a man who officials think went overboard Sunday.

The Bertie County Sheriff's Office says a tugboat was pushing an empty barge from the Nucor plant in Hertford County, when the captain noticed 24-year-old Aron Drew Kahill of Connecticut was missing.

The Coast Guard and the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office recovered Kahill's boots and gloves, but have still not found him.
