Business Cited in Underage Alcohol Buy

How do minors get access to alcohol? In some cases, they walk right into the store and buy it themselves. This weekend, Kinston Police and the Alcohol Law Enforcement agency in a joint operation cited ten businesses for selling alcohol to minors. Officials say in one instance a store clerk checked the identification of an underage buyer, saw they were underage and sold them alcohol anyway. A total of 31 Kinston businesses were checked on Saturday evening using two underaged buyers.
