Seeing Trouble Spots Before You Hit Them

High tides and rough seas caused some minor overwash of Highway 12 North of Rodanthe this week. And now you can check out this trouble spot yourself from home.

Dare County has installed a bird's eye camera that enables emergency management, and now you, to see how adverse weather is affecting travel. A similar camera is planned for the top of the water tower in Hatteras Village as well as another one for Highway 12 just South of the Bonner Bridge.

You can find the webcam link at www.co.dare.nc.us.
