Holiday Heap of Trash Piling Up

If you plan on throwing away all that holiday trash that's been sitting in your house, you might have to stand in line. That's because all across the country people are starting to drop off their garbage at trash collection sites.

In Greenville, everything from cardboard boxes to Christmas trees has been disposed of. Sanitation officials say more than 180 million tons of trash is expected to be collected between now and the end of the holiday season.

But before throwing your trash away at a trash collection site, sanitation employees ask that you please place the proper item into the proper trash bin.
