Gas prices across North Carolina have dropped by an average of 12 cents per-gallon in the last month.
Some motorists say the drop is a surprise this close to the holidays. The average price for regular gas in Lenoir County ranged anywhere from $1.78 up to $1.88 per gallon.
The Web site northcarolinagasprices.com reports in the last 72 hours the cheapest gas is priced at $1.54 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
