Some less fortunate families in Ayden will be able to enjoy the holidays thanks to the generosity of their church. The Anointed One Church of Deliverance in Ayden provided more than forty families with holiday food and gift boxes.
This is the 22nd year the church has given back to their members who don't have the means to cook a big holiday meal, or give their children any toys. One member says her Social Security pension doesn't leave her enough money to even celebrate.
Most of the food and gifts were donated by local organizations, grocery stores, and even by other church members.
