Wayne County Man Charged With Sex Crimes With a Child

A 63-year-old Wayne County man is accused of sexually assaulting a child over a period of at least four years.

Vernon Lee Howell of Fremont was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree rape of a child, first-degree sexual offense of a child, and indecent liberties with a child.

Howell's being held under $100,000 bond.
