An Onslow County man is in jail Saturday without bond according to sheriff officials, after he was arrested Friday afternoon for the statutory rape of a 15 year old girl there.
According to an arrest report the victim told lawmen she and 20 year old Ryan Casler, were making plans to get married when she turned 16 years of age. Lawmen say the two engaged in consensual sex, however Casler was in violation of the states statutory rape law. He will remain in jail until a court date can be scheduled.
