Authorities have a break in the case of a local D.J., killed in a late Christmas night shooting at a Trenton nightclub.

Arrested today in Jacksonville is Harold Krause. The 22 year old Jacksonville resident turned himself in to the State Bureau of Investigation.

Police say 24 year-old Alvin Arthur Smith of Jacksonville was shot at Fatt Daddyz entertainment complex at around 2:20 a.m. on December 26th. It happened off Highway 58, just outside Trenton.

Deputies say they believe Krause acted alone in the murder, and have recovered the suspected murder weapon--a .45 caliber handgun. Authorities say their investigation continues and have not released a possible motive.

Krause is in jail without bond.

I think it's sad that N.C. does not reconise a 8 or 9 month old fetus as a child. My little girl was born as of 8 months and is a healthy living little girl. I think that N.C. should get into the 21 century and help protect our children. This was a double murder and should be handled as such. And to have two people burned like trash is very degrading. He should be given the death sentance. This man is very much a sick man and should get no mercy as he never gave these two humans any. I for one say N.C. should take this and change the laws. The only one being protected here is the accused for not being charged with two murders. Thank you.. My prayers goes out to the family of these two victoms. We should not take this lightly and should show the familys we are behind them all the way.. I am personally ashamed to be from a state that does not protect a 8 or 9 month old fetus...

What a tragedy. God be with the victoms family and friends. And help us all remember how precious life is. Forgive us for taking it for granted. . . and thank God for those that wear a badge and put their lives on the line to keep the peace.

I feel that it is a lot of crime in Greenville lately. Everytime you turn on the tv something has happen in Greenville. I don't travel to Greenville alone because of all the crimes I hear about on tv.
