Wilson County deputies are investigation the discovery of skeleton remains last night in Saratoga, and a severely beaten man found about three miles away this morning.
The bones were found near the dead end of Walter Avenue in a wooded area. Deputies says an anthropologist from ECU and a medical examiner from Greenville are helping with the investigation. The remains have not yet been identified and they do not yet know the cause of death.
Then this morning deputies went to a suspicious vehicle on Highway 91 near White Oak acres. They found a black man wrapped in a sheet who had been severely beaten . The vehicle was found in a wooded area, about 100 yards off the highway.
The victim did not have any identification on him and deputies say he's estimated to be in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, dark colored long sleeve t-shirt, and ankle high brown hiking books.
