"Everyday Hero." That's what Dr. Jesse Lieberman of the Brody School of Medicine is being called as NBC's "Today Show" presented him and his wife with that honor, along with a live national broadcast at Pitt County Memorial Hospital Monday morning.
That broadcast included a presentation by the "Today Show's" Al Roker and a performance by recording artist Michael Buble'. Al Roker recognized Lieberman and his wife for all their accomplishments, since a fall Lieberman took off a third story balcony in 2003. The fall left him paralyzed.
Music star and Crooner Michael Buble' serenaded the Lieberman's after being recognized as an "Everyday Hero." His wife Michelle was also honored for her love and support on a daily basis. By the way, Michelle is an occupational therapist.
