As WITN highlights Black History Month, a Wilson native and East Carolina University graduate is being recognized. Ronnie Barnes is honored in a literary display in Joyner Library at East Carolina University.
The 1975, first black graduate of the Department of Athletic Training, is currently the head athletic trainer for the New York Giants. Those who know him say he continues to strive for excellence and gives back to his community.
