Water customers in two areas of Eastern Carolina are having troubles today because of two different water breaks.
In Pamlico County some water customers are being asked to boil their water for the next 24 hours. That's because of a water break.
Customers between 4th Street in Bayboro to Main Street in Alliance are being impacted by the leak and should boil their water before using it for human consumption, cooking or bathing.
Meanwhile, in Havelock a water line repair is cutting water off for sections of that city.
At 1 p.m. water will be cut off to residential areas from Trader Avenue and Park Lane through South Jackson and down Miller across to the Pirates Pride Car Wash.
Joints and lines must be replaced, which requires draining the water from the lines completely.
The city expects water service to be out for some three hours.
