Woman Killed in Fire in Lenoir County

An early morning fire in Lenoir County claims the life of a woman Sunday morning. Lenoir County officials say a fire broke out at a home on Live Oak Hog Company Road around 4:30 Sunday morning, in the Deep Run area of Lenoir County. Officials say the woman's name is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified, and that the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sheriff's Department, the Fire Marshal's office, and the State Bureau of Investigations. Officials say no one else was injured in the fire.
