And the Winner Is?

Three months after the election, there is finally a winner in the race for North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner. During an election board meeting Friday morning in Raleigh, Democratic Incumbent Britt Cobb conceded defeat and Republican Steve Troxler was certified as the winner.Troxler led Cobb by a little more than 2200 votes, but a machine error eliminated more than 4400 votes in Carteret County leaving the outcome in doubt. Cobb conceded, saying he didn't want to set the precedent of having elections settled by affidavits as Troxler had suggested.
