Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards says the United States needs to end the war in Iraq.
The former North Carolina senator told a group at the College of
Charleston last night it's also important to prevent the Bush dministration from going into war in Iran.
Edwards says there are similarities in the way the Bush administration is handling the two countries.
He campaigned earlier in Seneca, where he was born.
He told reporters in Walhalla the Bush administration is not doing enough to help people suffering from a surge in home mortgage
interest rates. The administration announced a plan yesterday to help some people affected by adjustable rate mortgages.
He also helped open the Oconee County Democratic Party headquarters in Walhalla.
