The military boom coming to eastern North Carolina may affect growth in neighboring counties to the west.
Duplin County officials say that with all the jobs and people coming to the area, many folks will want to move out to more rural settings. County manager Mike Aldridge says he already sees some military families moving to southern Duplin County. He says business will certainly take a turn for the better.
The city of Jacksonville announced back in September that over 11,000 Marines and their families would be coming to eastern North Carolina.
