At Least 80 Percent of Renters Have No Insurance

Many fires have claimed many homes over the past two months in Eastern Carolina. And most of them have a common thread. Family's who lose everything have no insurance. So once the fire is put out, the family must deal with the loss of everything they own because they had no fire insurance for their home.

This situation happened twice last week in two separate fires. One insurance agent says renter's insurance is not that expensive. On average, it only costs $100 for every $15,000.00 you insure. You can even choose a payment plan. The American Red Cross is only going to be able to help you out for two to three nights.
