Health Screenings In Winterville

As cold as it was this weekend, seniors across the east still found a way to make their health a top priority as dozens headed to a free community health screening in the city of Winterville.

All of the pricking, squeezing, and squinting was worth it as seniors and their loved ones gathered at the new Winterville Police Fire and EMS building in Pitt County, to get tested for many diseases that plague the elderly. From diabetes to high-blood pressure, even glaucoma testing, the Winterville Senior Citizens Club provided resources for folks to get the necessary materials they need to check on their health without having to write a check.

Screenings were also given for chiropractic health, nutrition, body mass index, and bone density.
