6 people were sent to the hospital after a devastating head on collision in Beaufort County.
Highway patrol troopers say that a truck traveling on Old New Bern Highway outside of Chocowinity tried to pass another car in a no passing zone and hit a white sedan coming the opposite way head one. The accident happened around 5:45 Saturday evening when troopers say road conditions were terrible, not because of ice, but because of low visibility due to fog.
The identities of the 6 people injured are unknown as are there conditions at this time.
