Jacksonville Redevelopment

A pair of major, multi-million dollar projects is changing the face of Jacksonville's city government.

Expansions at city hall will add much-needed room by tying the current city hall into a former bank next door. That work will also create a landmark for downtown redevelopment. A brand-new city maintenance complex for public work and public utilities will change the way citizens interact with their government by having all services in one building.

Changes and minor delays will move back the opening for those new places, into 2005. City manager Ken Hagen says they want everything to be just right for city workers and the public, before they finish those multi-million dollar projects.
