Beat The Peak

People in Eastern Carolina will likely be turning the heat on in their homes more and more as we approach December. Most people would agree that saving money on energy bills is a good thing.

Officials in Wilson say residents there can save four dollars a month by joining the Beat the Peak program. The program remotely cycles a person's wter heater during the peak load of each month. City workers will install the switch for free. The city will also credit you five dollars for putting an air conditioner on the program.

To request installation of one or both switches, call (252) 399.2415 .
