Rocky Mount Police say that a checkpoint early Saturday morning yielded less than they were expecting. Police say that from 10 p.m. Friday night to 1 Saturday morning, they had a checkpoint at Country Club Road and Cove Drive. The checkpoint did result in a number of violations 37 in all, ranging from driving while impaired to even carrying a concealed weapon. Police say they arrested 26 year old Chaunsey Patterson on that carrying a concealed weapon charge.
