A savage beating and robbery at the Andy's Restaurant in the Greene County town of Snow Hill sent the victim to the hospital.
Officials say the manager, 22-year-old Jason Desilva, was leaving after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, and was in his car when a man broke the car window, dragged him out, beat him and demanded the restaurant's money.
Desilva was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital with severe head injuries. The attacker is still on the loose.
