Dangerous Road Conditions Across Eastern Carolina

The snow, ice and sleet are making for dangerous conditions all across Eastern Carolina. Lawmen say there have been more than 250 accident calls.
In Bertie County, the roads are treacherous and more than two dozen accidents have been reported. A power outage in Craven County caused problems with traffic lights, as well as several homes and businesses, but there have been no serious accidents. Both Wayne and Edgecombe Counties got four or more inches of snow, creating dangerous travel on roadways. In Lenoir County, a few downed cable lines have been reported. There is one reported power outage. Most other counties in the east have had a few accidents and most of them were minor. Road conditions vary from fair to poor. The number one concern overnight is ice.
