A 38-year-old Georgia man was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of death by motor vehicle.
Authorities say he was driving an 18-wheeler that was trying to merge on southbound Interstate 95 between WIlson and Rocky Mount Friday when his big rig forced a Corvette to hit a bridge pillar. The two adults inside that car died. At last report, the truck driver was being held in the Nash County jail without bond.
