Pitt Community College held an early service to say thanks to veterans and their families. Hundreds of people gathered on the front lawn of the college for the Seventh Annual Veterans Day Salute.
United States Army Staff Sergeant and Iraq War veteran Wes Wooten served as keynote speaker delivering a message of support for servicemen and women who are still serving overseas.
Veterans Day is November 11.
