Two People Are Dead After Accident On I-95.

Authorities say two adults were killed Friday in an accident on southbound Interstate 95 between Wilson and Rocky Mount.

The state Highway Patrol says the 1 p.m. wreck happened when an
18-wheeler was trying to merge and caused a Corvette with Virginia
plates to lose control and hit a pillar on a bridge.

Officials say a man and woman in the Corvette died. The interstate was littered with debris and Christmas presents that were in the car.

Troopers were questioing the driver of a tractor trailer. They have not released the names of the victims.
