Snow and Cold Raise Concern for Elderly

Rescue officials say they've received several phone calls from elderly residents and those who live alone expressing concern that if something happens no one will be able to help them because of the snow.

Lieutenant Chris Howell with the Williamston Rescue and Fire department says the best thing to do is check in on elderly relatives and those you know who live alone to make sure they're okay. Howell also says lend them a cell phone if possible to use in case of an emergency.
