Lowes Home Improvements Apologizes for “Family Tree”

Lowe's companies, inc. Issued an apology after a photo featuring Christmas trees in their 2007 holiday catalogue was entitled "family trees."

The advertisement sparked an outcry from the American Family association. The conservative advocacy group has led boycotts against several retailers for using "happy holidays" in their advertisements instead of "merry Christmas."

A spokesperson for Lowe’s said the advertisement in the catalogue was an error and inconsistent with the company's practice of referring to the trees as Christmas trees.

Whatever happened to the 'spirit' of the Holidays....no matter what religion you happen to be. Those folks at the AFA sure do show their Christian goodness...ahem!

I work at Lowes and I have to say, people REALLY need to find better things to do with their time then raise a stink over this. Are other religions going to start a riot because their holiday slogans aren't in the ad, too?

You know I really don't understand what is the big deal about whether a person say Merry Christmas or Happy Happy days.I having been saying Merry Christmas for 47 years.Just be Merry and thankful each and everyday.
