Three Tarboro men are under arrest in connection with a deadly robbery last night in Edgecombe County.

Store clerk Ahmad Nimer was shot at the Wings N Things Store on Highway 33. He later died at a local hospital.

Sheriff deputies have charged 19 year old William Allen with Nimer's murder, while 16 year old Kendrick Everette is charged with two counts of breaking and entering and larceny. Also charged is 18 year old Donyell Allen with possession of a stolen firearm.

Authorities say the murder happened as the store was being robbed and that Nimer was apparently shot as he tried to chase the robbers off. A total of four shots were fired, two hitting the victim and at least one other striking a suspect.

Deputies say it's not the first time some of the men had targeted the store. They claim William Allen and Everette also broke into the business on October 24th.

A fourth suspect is still being sought and deputies say they expect additional charges in this case.

I just recently found out that I know the victim from when I was young. I grew up in Sharpsburg and he was working at this store name A&A. He was a very nice and sweet man. He will realy be missed. When I saw his picture in the obituary, I got chills all over my body because I couldn't believe it was him.

I knew the victim. He was a decent man and a good friend. Words can't describe how I felt upon hearing this news. When are we, as a people, going to rise up and demand that PREVENTION of VIOLENT crime be given a priority? Robbery, rape, murder, and assault are OUT OF CONTROL in eastern NC. I have been robbed myself 3 times in the past 5 years. I have many friends who have been robbed and attacked, and NOT ONE arrest has been made in any of the incidents. Meanwhile, all I see is drunk driving check points all over the place. Where are our priorities? The sad truth is that the state makes money off of drunk driving and speeding, so that's where the concentration is. Follow the trail of money. It's time we all WOKE UP and put pressure on the right people to get their priorities in order to PREVENT this kind of thing instead of merely reacting after the fact.

This is no excuse for such a senseless crime committed on this victim. They deserve every inch of punishment that they get. Get a job and stop the robbing and killing. This is a sad situation. This man worked for a living, just to have someone take his life.

i was at this incodent after the fact and i just have to say it is a shame this man was working an honest living just to have his life taken by some kids who probably dont even know what a job is.....i think the edgecombe county sheriffs dept, princeville fire, and edgecombe rescue did a wonderful job responding to the scene and doing everything they could to help this man....i hope these young men get what they deserve they should never be allowed on the streets again....i send my prayers out to the family of the deceased, and i hope you keep updates on this story as it unfolds
