Wild Boar is a heavily regulated game. There are two times of year when wild boar is in open season. October 15th to November 17th and then it opens back up on December 10th until January 1st.
Hunting for wild boar is only allowed in the following counties; Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson, Macon and Swain. In the rest of the State feral hogs are not considered Wild Boar.
