Bumper Cotton Crop

Folks across eastern Carolina are seeing white, but soon farmers will be seeing green. That's because a huge cotton crop is being picked across the east this harvest season.

Some experts say it could be a record-breaker, since North Carolina started growing cotton again in the 1990s. In places like Jones County, where farmers planted over 25,000 acres of cotton, this year’s perfect weather is yielding a big crop.
