Last week we showed you "whats going around urgent cares in Onslow County. This week its time to check out what bugs are in the air in our schools.

We stopped into Beaufort Elementary School in Carteret County, where school nurse Mary Anne Giovoni says on a given day she can see anything from bumps and bruises to sore throats and coughs. Right now she says the common cold and a stomach bug are the typical ailments she's seeing. She says they're seasonal problems, and in the spring a common illness is chicken pox. The school system says keeping parents and students informed of whats going around, and educated on how to prevent certain illnesses is key.
