The family of 8-year old Kendrick Leary of Bertie County, who was held responsible for involuntary manslaughter by the court in the death of a toddler, is speaking out. His family and attorney are pleading for leniency as his punishment date draws near. Officials say he talked about being responsible for 3-year old Malik Beverly's death. He was found dead in the bottom of a septic tank back in September.
