Skip Holtz Named New ECU Head Football Coach

Skip Holtz, son of legendary coach Lou Holtz, takes over as head football coach at East Carolina University. Skip was introduced at a Friday news conference at ECU. Holtz says "I've been waiting six years for this day, to become a head football coach again." Holtz was a player at Notre Dame, a coach there, a head coach at the University of Connecticut, and an assistant with his dad at South Carolina. Holtz signed a five-year deal worth $750,000, plus a guaranteed yearly incentive of $240,000 for TV, radio, and internet shows, and various other incentives.
